West Stoke House Art Space proudly anounces the continuing semi-permanent mixed exhibition for 2008.
Sussex based artist and painter Annie Timothy curates the space in liaison with the owners of West Stoke House, Rowland and Mary Leach. Annie Timothy is passionate about raising the profile of local artists: "There is a wealth of artistic talent in the area, and we want to play a part in promoting that talent"
West Stoke House, boutique restaurant with rooms, provides the perfect foil. Nestled at the edge of the South Downs in the hamlet of West Stoke, just 2.5 miles outside of Chichester, the Georgian house combines light filled elegance with a laid back eclectic combination of period antiques and contemporary furnishings. Exhibitions are hung throughout the house as seamless additions to the mix. Annie explains:
"It represents a transition from the traditional confines of the museum or gallery, and yet still serves as a fitting place in which to view art. The whole experience is more relaxed, for both art lovers and guests"
Mary and Rowland are enthusiastic to develop West Stoke House as a leading venue for the presentation of local and national artists of which they are dedicated supporters.
